HOUSE

December 2009

Our first bonfire on December 28th, 2009. Burned two big piles of brush from August yard work.

The house in the middle of roofing work. We think the far left side of the house was added on sometime in the 1800s.
This was the night I left to go back to TN in August. The roof was almost done! It took longer than expected because there were 3 old roofs to tear off instead of just one.

Dogs in kitchen.
This is the room that runs along the back side of the house.

Upstairs. We tore down all the old insulation and framed it up for new insulation.
We added skylights and might add dormers sometime in the future.

Suited up to knock down stuff!

The addition on the back of the house contained a bathroom and office that had suffered from a leaky roof:
The removal of the addition:

The basement was lined with beautiful field stones! Took us a week to clean it out and my favorite part was cleaning out two freezers that had been unplugged a while ago, but not emptied.

Our beautiful, brand new basement door.
The barn.
Before going to closing.

FARM (to be...)

A little sampling of the plants that grow all over...

...and berries!
